Participation Guidelines
- Exhibit spaces are 10’ x 10’.
- Exhibitors are responsible for
providing their own display, setting it up and tearing it down.
- ALL work must be exhibitor made.
- Artists are strongly encouraged
to attend.
- NO buy/sell, agents, dealers,
traders or importers are eligible.
- Pieces that are not
representative of work juried may not be displayed or advertised.
- If your medium is recorded music
it may only be presented at the event by headphones.
- All artists, including past
participants, must file a new festival application each year.
- All sellers must have a valid
sales permit, collect taxes and be responsible for their sales
collections.
- Sales permits can be obtained
from the State Board of Equalization, 408.277.1231. San Jose sales
tax is currently 8.25%.
- Tapestry reserves the right to
close the booth of any artist who does not comply with any and all
festival policies.
Application Procedures
- Submit three slides showing work
not more than two years old AND representative of the quality and
range of your work.
- Label slides indicating top,
medium and dimensions (Height, Width, Depth).
- Submit three slides Submit one
slide (preferred) or photo of your display.
- A photo or slide demonstrating
you with your works in progress MUST accompany the application.
- Complete both sides of the
application form.
- Include application fee ($20 for
one medium ($15 for Santa Clara Co. residents), $35 for two media.
- Return agreement, application
fee, slides and a self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE) to
Tapestry.
- Tapestry offers a $20 stipend
for any accepted artist that you refer to us.
- Application postmark date is
April 3, 2006.
(Applications will be
accepted after deadline for jurying to place onto the waiting list
or to fill the show.)
- Cancellations will require a
$100 handling fee.
