Volunteer
positions include:
Serving soft drinks, beer and wine:
This is where the action is! If you want
to meet people this is the place to do that. Beverage sales are handled by
tickets ‑ no cash handling required. We have lots of experienced
volunteers who will be happy to show you the ropes.
Helping professional artists in the Creativity Zone as they instruct
children and their parents in creating their own artworks:
This is the part of the festival where
kids are encouraged to try their hand at their own activities. Anyone who
has experience with youngsters would find this a good fit. It's thrilling
to watch creativity in action.
Helping staff the information booth:
Located right in the center of the
festival, this is the place where our festival visitors come to get
directions, secure a program and ask questions. New volunteers will be
paired with an experienced information booth supervisor. No fear ‑ you
WILL know the answers!
Assistant Area Coordinators:
Joined with an Area Coordinator,
this is a key volunteer position. This job requires a fair amount of
walking as you will meet and greet artists within a specified area, give
them breaks as needed, hand out water during the day and be our "welcome
wagon” for our exhibitors. This position requires, at least, a full day
commitment.
Shifts
range from 4 hours for our regular volunteers to our key volunteer
positions which cover all three festival days. You can tailor your
volunteer time to suit your schedule. |
